National Youth Awareness Sunday

A resolution TO ACT - NOW!

March of 2006, the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) passed a resolution calling the church to specific action to rescue a generation.

This resolution, titled “Engaging and Empowering A Young Generation," was based upon the message contained in Teen Mania's founder, Ron Luce's book, “Battle Cry For a Generation.” The NAE resolution was drafted “to achieve widespread evangelization of our teen population and … effective youth ministry in the 21st century”.

As one of the core tenants of this resolution, the NAE set aside September 2006 to be recognized as National Youth Awareness Month. (Click here to read the entire resolution)

NATIONAL YOUTH AWARENESS SUNDAY

We can do this together

Pastor, please join our nation with one pulpit voice on Sunday, September 24 in support of teens everywhere.

On this important Sunday, we are asking each church in America to bring awareness to the crisis facing this generation.

We must do everything possible to avoid a future where only 4% of America’s population are Bible believing Christians. If we don't reverse the trends, this statistic will be a reality.

Participation on National Youth Awareness Sunday starts with the senior pastor’s decision to devote one or more of his Sunday messages to this topic. September 24th is the right time, but even if that is not possible, then do it on another date. The important thing is to do it.
